Dogs at stud puppies and ferrets

Here at Evergreen we pride ourselves on the effectiveness of our canine team and the important role it plays in rabbit control.

Whilst we use a variety of breeds to aid the efficiency of our work, the majority of work is carried out with the help of specially bred lurchers and working whippets.

Our dogs are worked daily and tested to their full capacity and are extremely effective at the job of rabbit control.

They are hardy, intelligent and agile as well as free of any genetic weaknesses or faults. All of our dogs have been bred very carefully by using the best working stock, making sure each generation retains the specific traits necessary to make a good working dog.

Dogs at stud

Here is a selection of our dogs at stud. For those interested in using any of our dogs at stud the fee is £200 per successful mating. Where practical this will consist of two coverings normally on day 14 and 16 of the bitches’ season. If the covering is unsuccessful we will provide one free mating for the bitches next season.

Please note that it is at our discretion whether to allow the use of our stud dogs to cover a bitch. If we deem the intended bitch unsuitable for any reason, the mating will not take place.

Puppies

Over the course of a year we sometimes have litters of lurcher pups. Such litters will be produced by the mating of working dogs only with the intention of producing a hybrid specially created to excel at rabbiting and rabbit control. Our lurchers consist of a careful blend of border collie, greyhound and whippet. This mixture of breeds makes them ideal for hunting rabbits as well as good natured companions.

All pups are wormed, dew clawed, micro chipped and tattooed by NDTR. For more details of the next litter due, please contact us. Please note our puppies only go to homes we feel suitable.
